PRIVATE INFORMATION - NOT FOR PUBLIC VIEWING

The sole purpose of this new mirror jig is to allow individuals to hold securely three sides of a two mirror system together while gluing all of the sides in place to maintain perfect symmetry. This Jig is unique because it is a hand held version that allows access to all sides of the mirrors while gluing. The jig is adjustable to accommodate 3/4" to 2" mirror systems that are 3-1/2" to 12" in length. The cutouts in the jig allow easy access for a hot glue gun to be used to hold the mirrors permanently in place. A 3 point or greater mandala can be made using the adjustable screw to fine tune the angle.

The other knob that can be seen in the photos is used to hold the sliding plastic plate that holds the mirrors firmly in place. A rubber foam pad is added to each finger on the adjustable plate to allow a better grip on the mirrors third side, and helps accommodate larger changes in angle. The rubber bands are used to hold the third side snugly to the mirror system, it they are not always needed.

I still have not documented the use, but it is mostly self explanatory. I tape the two mirrors and third side together and fold the system up, and place it in the jig. I adjust the slider to hold the mirrors in place. I then adjust the screw in front to perfect the mirror angle. I then use hot glue to tack the system in place.

The jig also works by placing one mirror in the bottom of the jig and holding the third side vertical while sliding the slider to hold the mirrors in place. I can then place the second mirror in place, and continue as above. This technique of construction eliminates the crunchies that many people get when their system is taped together too tightly.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
